India calling!

Tomorrow I bid a fond farewell to the Uganda team, and fly across to India to meet the next team of excited young people who are going to serve the children of St Joseph's school in Nallajeerla, Andhra Pradesh.

I'll fill you in more on the trip as it goes, but for now I just ask for your prayers and thoughts for the people we will be visiting. I heard from Janaki, our local partner in AP today, and she was saying that the recent cyclone has caused a lot of devastation to the rural areas in particular, with crops lost, harvests ruined, homes destroyed and possessions lost. Some of Janaki's work with rural villages is in the area worst affected, so she has been involved in trying to support the people and bring emergency relief to them. I'm not sure what we will find when we arrive!

My prayer for the team is that, in the wake of all this sadness and hardship, we can be a blessing, and bring smiles and moments of happiness to the area. May our input be only positive, may what we leave behind at the end of the trip be only good, and may the local project and its people feel blessed as a result of us coming.

Thank you for your prayers, and your support, and of course if any of you would like to help Janaki and her projects recover from the cyclone, then you can do so through CRED foundation. But this isn't a blog to ask for money, but for prayers - and then we will see how they are answered.

Blessings

H
