360Life training in Chingola: a few facts, figures and photos

  • -          Hosted by Good News Global Zambia, and especially Samuel Kawilila (GNG Africa director and Chingola resident), Fortunatus Mwenya Lombe (GNG national director), and Rev Charity Mushili (heads up the women’s and children’s ministry in GNG Zambia)
  • -            56 people attended the 3 day workshop
  • -            3 travelled all the way from DRCongo
  • -            \Included GNG team and volunteer prison chaplains, church leaders, health-care workers, church members, youth, teachers, counsellors
  • -            Despite the challenges of a missing projector on first arrival (later located), and my little mishap resulting in a morning in hospital, the training went very well indeed with lots of wonderful feedback and encouragements.

Here’s a few examples:

TM: from this work I have benefited on how to treat people individually and how to be a good listener to those to be counselled

PM: the training is so educative and will be helpful to my day to day life. Thank you so much.

FK: it’s a good programme and needs many people to be told.

CM: good training – an eye opener, thank you very much.

SK: it’s an ideal subject that requires more time attached to it and further interaction and implementation.

PN: we need to educate many people to reach out to the communities, and for many people to learn about trauma.

CB: this was a powerful and profitable workshop. It has really helped me so much, on how to handle people, especially those who are traumatised, and how to implement their solutions.

BC: the training has given me a new and broader perspective about trauma, wellbeing, and mental health

CC: thank you for this wonderful training that has impacted me positively. I will surely share with others, and other organisations about the good things I learned. It is my prayer that this training will also take place in Kulumbashi DRC

Feeling very honoured to be able to do this work, and praying that the teaching reaches out through the participants to help the many who are hurting and in need of input and support. Praying for each of those participants as they take the next steps from theory to practice, and implement what they learned in the workshop into the day to day of their particular ministries

A massive thank you to the GNG Zambia team who hosted and enabled the workshop to happen, and who have been simply astounding in every way. Bless you all.
